More information
The first nose of the Casale Vecchio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is flattering with blueberries, plums and blackcurrants. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing and even more fruity, balsamic nuances.
This Italian wine impresses with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with 6.2 grams of residual sugar. This is a genuine quality wine that clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so, despite its dryness, this Italian naturally delights with the finest balance. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. The texture of this well-balanced red wine is wonderfully dense on the palate. Thanks to its moderate fruit acidity, Casale Vecchio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo has a velvety mouthfeel without lacking freshness. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Abruzzo wine-growing region finally delights with good length. There are again hints of mulberry and dried fruit.
Vinification of the Farnese Vini Casale Vecchio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
The well-balanced Casale Vecchio Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Italy is a single-varietal wine made from the Montepulciano grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by 6 months of ageing in American oak barrels.
