Castillo de Clavijo Crianza DOC - Criadores de Rioja

The Castillo de Clavijo Crianza Rioja DOCa from Criadores de Rioja is a wonderful blend of Tempranillo (90%) and Garnacha Tinta (10%) grape varieties.

This Spanish red wine sparkles in the glass in a dense cherry red with violet hues. On the nose, there are aromas of wild berries - especially wild blackberry and blueberry - and vanilla tones from the wood aging. Soft and round, this red wine appears on the palate, with a full flavor of ripe fruit, vanilla and spicy notes and a fine acid structure. This balanced Tempranillo ends in a full-bodied, elegant finish.

Vinification of the Castillo de Clavijo Crianza

After hand-harvesting the grapes from the Criadores de Rioja winery, they are destemmed, crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks under temperature control. Subsequently, this vegan wine is aged for 12 months in American and French oak barrels.
