The Castillo de Clavijo Reserva Tinto DOCa from Criadores de Rioja is a wonderful blend of Tempranillo (85%), Garnacha Tinta (10%) and Mazuelo (5%) grape varieties.

This Spanish red wine reveals itself in a deep dark cherry-red color, which already somewhat transitions into black In the nose, this wine presents pleasantly intense aromas of spices, noble wood, toasted notes and vanilla, in addition to fruity nuances (blackberries, red currants, cherries). A juicy, fleshy mouthfeel and a dominant body unfold on the palate. The long finish reveals a good balance between ripe fruit and distinct tannins.

Vinification of the Castillo de Clavijo Reserva Tinto

After the manual harvest of the grapes of the winery Criadores de Rioja, they are destemmed, crushed and fermented in stainless steel tanks under temperature control. Subsequently, this red wine from Rioja is aged for 18 months in American and French oak barrels.
