More information about Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC - Cantina Terlan
With the Cantina Terlan Chardonnay Alto Adige, a first-class white wine is poured into the glass. It has a wonderfully bright, golden yellow color. The nose of this Cantina Terlan white wine reveals all kinds of guavas, star fruit, papayas, physalis and pineapple. As if that wasn't already impressive, juniper, garrigue and green peppers are added due to the ageing in stainless steel.
On the palate, the Chardonnay Alto Adige from Cantina Terlan starts off pleasantly aromatic, fruity and balanced. Some wines are dry on the label, others really are. This white wine belongs to the latter, as it was vinified with only 1.7 g of residual sugar. This crisp white wine is balanced and multi-layered on the palate. Thanks to the moderate fruit acidity, the Chardonnay Alto Adige flatters the palate with a soft sensation without lacking freshness. On the finish, this young wine from the Trentino-Alto Adige wine-growing region impresses with its considerable length. Once again, there are hints of star fruit and pineapple.
Vinification of the Chardonnay Alto Adige from Cantina Terlan
The balanced Chardonnay Alto Adige from Italy is a single-varietal wine made from the Chardonnay grape variety. Once perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for Chardonnay Alto Adige are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Chardonnay Alto Adige can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for 7 months.
