More information
In the glass, the Chardonnay from Kloster Eberbach shows a brilliantly shimmering golden yellow color. This single-varietal German wine presents wonderfully expressive notes of quince, mirabelle, lime and grapefruit in the glass. These are joined by hints of forest floor and sun-warmed rock.
The Kloster Eberbach Chardonnay presents itself pleasantly dry to the wine connoisseur. This white wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this light-footed white wine is wonderfully crisp. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Hessische Bergstrasse finally inspires with considerable length. Hints of pink grapefruit and grapefruit appear again.
Vinification of the Chardonnay from Kloster Eberbach
The elegant Chardonnay from Germany is a single-varietal wine, made from the Chardonnay grape variety. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for the Chardonnay are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes are taken to the press house in the fastest possible way. Here they are sorted and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Chardonnay is allowed to further harmonize on the fine lees for several months.
