Vinification of the Chardonnay Herz aus Gold from Weingut Hammel
The balanced Chardonnay Herz aus Gold from Germany is a single-varietal wine made from the Chardonnay grape variety. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on loess and gravel soils in the Palatinate. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
