More information about Chardonnay Kalkstein trocken - Weingut Manz

In the glass, the Chardonnay Kalkstein from Weingut Manz shows a bright golden yellow color. The nose of this white wine from Rheinhessen convinces with hints of nectarine, gallia melon, peach and star fruit. If we trace the aromatics further, Mediterranean herbs, garrigue and juniper are added.

This dry white wine from Weingut Manz is for wine connoisseurs who prefer to drink bone dry. The Chardonnay Limestone already comes very close to this, it was vinified with just 4 grams of residual sugar. Balanced and complex, this melting white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Chardonnay limestone flatters with a soft mouthfeel, without lacking freshness. The final of this white wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally thrills with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by marl and limestone.

Vinification of the winery Manz Chardonnay limestone

This balanced white wine from Germany is made from the Chardonnay grape variety. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. After manual harvesting, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Chardonnay Kalkstein from Weingut Manz

This white wine from Germany is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to leek soup, omelet with salmon and fennel or spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto.
