The barrel-aged Chardonnay from the wine-growing region the Palatinate reveals itself in the glass in brilliant shimmering golden yellow. The nose shows this Weingut Friedrich Becker white wine all sorts of pomelo, lemongrass, lime, lemon and pink grapefruit. As if that wasn't already impressive, the aging in small wooden barrels adds cream candy, yeast plait and brioche.
The Weingut Friedrich Becker Chardonnay presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This white wine never appears coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the high quality wine range. On the tongue, this light-footed white wine is characterized by an incredibly dense texture. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Chardonnay presents itself exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful white wine from the wine-growing region of the Palatinate finally impresses with considerable reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the limestone-dominated soils.
Vinification of the winery Friedrich Becker Chardonnay
The elegant Chardonnay from Germany is a single varietal wine, vinified from the Chardonnay grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Palatinate region. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone. The grapes for this white wine from Germany, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand . After harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in small wood and large wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Chardonnay is aged for another 5 months in oak barriques.
Food recommendation for Weingut Friedrich Becker Chardonnay
This German white wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to pasta with sausage dumplings, pumpkin casserole or omelet with salmon and fennel.
