Château Branas Grand Poujeaux is a young winery that began with the purchase of the castle of the same name by Justin Onclin. The estate is located in the Medóc, not far from the coast in the southwest of France. It is cultivated the vineyard Moulis, which extends over a strip of 7 km from east to west.
The vineyard is divided into seven plots, each of which has particular characteristics and is planted with specific grape varieties. These represent a "miniature version of the Médoc", since they have the typical soil types such as gravel in the east, or sandy loam towards the coast. Cultivated grape varieties are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot.
