More information about Cru Bourgeois Médoc AOC - Château Castera

The Cru Bourgeois Médoc from the pen of Château Castera from Bordeaux offers a dense ruby color in the swirled glass. To the nose, this Château Castera red wine shows all sorts of lilacs, mulberries, blueberries, black currants and fruit breads. As if that wasn't already impressive, other aromas like gingerbread spice, dark chocolate and cocoa bean join in.

This French wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with 3.1 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this French wine naturally enraptures with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily require a lot of residual sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully dense. With its lively fruit acidity, the Cru Bourgeois Médoc reveals itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Bordeaux finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of plum and lavender appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and gravel are added.

Vinification of the Cru Bourgeois Médoc from Château Castera

This powerful red wine from France is vinified from the grape varieties Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of clay, limestone and gravel. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Cru Bourgeois Médoc are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.

Food recommendation for the Cru Bourgeois Médoc of Château Castera

Drink this red wine from France best tempered at 15 - 18°C as an accompanying wine to lemon chili chicken with bulgur, cod with cucumber mustard vegetables or veal and onion casserole.
