Chasse-Spleen Moulis-en-Médoc AOC 2016 - Château Chasse-Spleen
With Château Chasse-Spleen Chasse-Spleen Moulis-en-Médoc, a first-class red wine comes to the waved glass. In it, it presents a wonderfully bright, purple-red colour. Ideally poured into a red wine glass, this wine from the Old World presents wonderfully complex aromas of plum, plum, black cherry and morello cherry, rounded off by cocoa bean, dark chocolate and oriental spices, which the barrel ageing contributes.
The Chasse-Spleen Moulis-en-Médoc by Château Chasse-Spleen is the right choice for all connoisseurs who like as little residual sugar in their wine as possible. However, it is never sparse or brittle, as you would expect from a wine in this price range. Balanced and multi-layered, this velvety red presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this wine from the Bordeaux wine-growing region, which can be stored well, finally inspires with its extraordinary length. There are again hints of black cherry and plum. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soil dominated by sand and gravel are added.
Vinification of Chasse-Spleen Moulis-en-Médoc by Château Chasse-Spleen
This balanced red wine from France is made from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grape varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Bordeaux. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand and gravel. After the manual harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and concrete at controlled temperatures. Once fermentation is complete, the Chasse-Spleen Moulis-en-Médoc can continue to harmonise on the fine yeast in small wood for 18 months.
