Château Gombaude-Guillot has been in its sixth generation since 1860. In the heart of the Pomerol plateau, wonderful wines are vinified which convince the connoisseur with balance, complexity, volume and finesse.

The Gombaude-Guillot winemakers are always anxious to bring the authentic character of Pomerol into the bottle. Natural methods of winemaking (in the vineyards as well as in the cellar) are very important because Château Gombaude-Guillot now officially cultivates organically.

Staying natural

The application for the organic certification (AB) was made in 1997 - with the vintage 2000 Château Gombaude-Guillot was released as an organic farm. But this is not the end of the journey. The Château is currently in the process of certification for biodynamic viticulture.
The organic cultivation is monitored and certified by an independent official body (ECOCERT).

The use of sulphur at Château Gombaude-Guillot is kept to an absolute minimum. In this way, the wines retain their unique and exceptional character - a true reflection of one of Bordeaux's largest wine-growing regions.

Two terroirs - three wines

The three great wines of Château Gombaude-Guillot are:

• Château Gombaude-Guillot
  Vinified from grapes of the great terroir of the Pomerol plateau.
• Clos Plince
  The grapes come from a vineyard of about one hectare in size.
• Cadet de Gombaude
  The youngest of the three wines vinified from young vines.
