The powerful Château La Sauvageonne La Villa from the pen of Gerard Bertrand comes into the glass with dense ruby red. Swiveling the wine glass, this rosé wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in church windows at the edge of the glass. On the palate, Gerard Bertrand's Château La Sauvageonne La Villa opens wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. The final of this youthful rosé wine from the wine-growing region of the Languedoc finally convinces with beautiful reverberation.
Vinification of the Château La Sauvageonne La Villa by Gerard Bertrand
The powerful Château La Sauvageonne La Villa from France is a cuvée, organically produced from the grape varieties Grenache, Mourvèdre, Vermentino and Viognier. Château La Sauvageonne La Villa is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. The fact that the Grenache, Mourvèdre, Vermentino and Viognier grapes thrive under the influence of a warm climate also has a very high influence on the maturity of the vintage. This manifests itself, among other things, in particularly well ripened grapes and rather high alcohol content in the wine. The grapes for this rosé wine from France are harvested exclusively by hand when they are perfectly ripe. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and gently broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. After their end, the Château La Sauvageonne La Villa can harmonize further for several months on the fine lees....
