On the palate, the Chianti Benvenuto from Castello Toscano starts off wonderfully dry, full-bodied and aromatic, and despite its dry taste, this red wine impresses with the finest smoothness and elegantly integrated residual sweetness. On the palate, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly melting texture. The Chianti Benvenuto reveals itself to be fantastically fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. The finish of this well-matured red wine from the Tuscany wine-growing region, Chianti DOCG to be precise, is impressive with a remarkable finish.
Vinification of Castello Toscano Chianti Benvenuto
The balanced Chianti Benvenuto from Italy is a cuvée made from the Merlot and Sangiovese grape varieties. The grapes for this red wine from Italy are harvested exclusively by hand after optimal ripeness has been ensured. After the grape harvest, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in small wooden vats at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Chianti Benvenuto is aged for several months in oak barrels.
