More information
The Chianti Colli Senesi by Tenute Silvio Nardi from the Italian wine-growing region of Tuscany is a fruity, silky and well-structured red wine cuvée made from the Sangiovese, Merlot and Colorino grape varieties.
This wine presents an intense ruby red with violet highlights in the glass. The nose reveals fruity aromas of ripe red berries paired with spicy notes. This Italian red wine is wonderfully round and soft on the palate. The tannins are present but wonderfully velvety. The finish is wonderfully concentrated and scores with good length.
Vinification of Silvio Nardi Chianti
The grapes for this red wine are carefully harvested by hand in the first half of October. Once in the Tenute Silvio Nardi wine cellar, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. This is followed by fermentation at a controlled temperature for 15 days in stainless steel tanks. Slavonian oak barrels are used for the 4-month ageing process. Finally, this wine rounds off for some time in the bottle.
Dining recommendation for the Chianti Colli Senesi from Tenute Silvio Nardi
Enjoy this red wine at a temperature of 15 to 18 degrees Celsius with all kinds of classic Italian dishes - whether pizza, pasta or stuffed piccata Milanese.
