In the glass, the Civitella D'Agliano Rosso from the house of Sergio Mottura reveals a bright purple color. The bouquet of this red wine from Lazio captivates with nuances of plum. If we trace the aroma further, coffee / mocha, red currant and licorice are added.
The Sergio Mottura Civitella D'Agliano Rosso presents itself to the wine lover wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, but round and smooth. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully silky, velvety and dense. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Lazio finally inspires with beautiful length. Once again, hints of plum appear. In the reverberation, mineral notes of the volcanic rock dominated soils join.
Vinification of Sergio Mottura Civitella D'Agliano Rosso
This balanced red wine from Italy is vinified organically from the grape variety Merlot. In Lazio, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of volcanic rock. After the manual harvest, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.
