More information about Clos Boucher Condrieu AOC - Delas Frères

The Delas Frères Clos Boucher Condrieu is a first-class white wine. In this it presents a wonderfully dense, golden yellow color. When swirling the wine glass, this white wine reveals a high viscosity, which shows in church windows at the edge of the glass. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of quince, pear, nashi pear and apple, rounded out by forest floor and sun-warmed rocks contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

This dry white wine from Delas Frères is for wine lovers who can't drink their wine dry enough. Full-bodied and complex, this creamy and dense white wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this well storable white wine from the wine-growing region Rhône Valley finally inspires with considerable length. Once again, hints of apple and quince appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the granite-dominated soils are added.

Vinification of the Delas Frères Clos Boucher Condrieu

The basis for the powerful Clos Boucher Condrieu from Rhône Valley are grapes from the Viognier grape variety. In Rhône Valley, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of granite. Due to the mitigating influence of the nearbyRiver, the grapes ripen more slowly and more aromatic complexity. Clos Boucher Condrieu is an Old World wine through and through, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in large wood at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Clos Boucher Condrieu is aged for another 8 months in oak barrels.

Food recommendation for the Clos Boucher Condrieu from Delas Frères

This French wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It pairs perfectly with spaghetti with yogurt-mint pesto, fruity endive salad or coconut-lime fish curry.
