In the glass, the Clos D'Ora Minervois La Liviniere of Gérard Bertrand offers a dense purple color. Swiveling the wine glass, this red wine reveals a high viscosity, which is evident in clear church windows at the edge of the glass. With some time in the glass, this Old World red wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of black currant, rounded out by black pepper, black cherry and juniper berry.
The Gérard Bertrand Clos D'Ora Minervois La Liviniere presents itself to the wine enthusiast wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine icon wine segment. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an immensely creamy texture. On the finish, this wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon wine region finally delights with considerable length. Once again, hints of black currant appear.
Vinification of the Clos D'Ora Minervois La Liviniere by Gérard Bertrand
The powerful Clos D'Ora Minervois La Liviniere from France is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Carignan, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Clos D'Ora Minervois La Liviniere is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman breathes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the grapes are harvested, they are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Then fermentation takes place in concrete at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.
