The Christian Salmon Clos de Criots Pouilly Fumé delights with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. As you would naturally expect from a wine, this Frenchman naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this balanced white wine is wonderfully crisp. The finish of this white wine from the wine-growing region Val de Loire, more precisely from Pouilly-Fumé, finally impresses with good reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes of the soils dominated by marl and limestone.
Vinification of the Clos de Criots Pouilly Fumé by Christian Salmon
The balanced Clos de Criots Pouilly Fumé from France is a single varietal wine, pressed from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in the Val de Loire. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of limestone and marl. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

This French wine is best enjoyed well chilled at 8 - 10°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to asparagus salad with quinoa, roasted trout with ginger pear or leek soup.
