More information

The barrel-aged Clos La Roquète Blanc Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the wine-growing region the Rhône Valley shows in the glass in dense light yellow. When swirling the glass, this white wine reveals a high viscosity, which is reflected in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. Poured into a white wine glass, this Old World white wine reveals wonderfully expressive aromas of cherry blossom, white currant, apple and pear, rounded out by gingerbread spice, garrigue and oriental spices contributed by aging in wooden barrels.

This wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.5 grams of residual sugar. This is a true quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Frenchman naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily require a lot of sugar. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Clos La Roquète Blanc Châteauneuf-du-Pape presents itself impressively fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this well storable from the wine-growing region the Rhône Valley finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of apple and white currant. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by clay and sand are added.
