More information

The barrel-aged Club Batonnage 1.5 l Magnum from the wine-growing region the Burgenland offers itself in the glass in dense purple. In the glass, this red wine from Club Batonnage shows aromas of blackberry jelly and blackberries, complemented by toasted wood and cocoa. The Club Batonnage Club Batonnage 1.5 l Magnum delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Austrian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of residual sugar. This dense red wine presents itself on the palate full of pressure and complexity. In the finish, this very storable wine from the wine-growing region of Burgenland finally delights with exceptional length. Once again, hints of blackberry and blackberry jelly appear.

Vinification of the Club Batonnage Club Batonnage 1.5 l Magnum

This powerful red wine from Austria is vinified from the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. When the perfect physiological ripeness is ensured, the grapes for Club Batonnage 1,5 l Magnum are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of punishing and less selective machines. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately sent to the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the powerful Club Batonnage 1.5 l Magnum is aged for several months in French oak barrels.

Food recommendation for Club Batonnage Club Batonnage 1,5 l Magnum

This Austrian red wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to Boeuf Bourguignon, Ossobuco or goose breast with gingered red cabbage and marjoram.
