Cono Sur - Sustainable Chilean wines under the sign of the bicycle
The Cono Sur winery is located in the middle of the Colchagua Valley 150km south of Santiago in Chimbarongo. Here, grapes from the 750 hectares of our own vineyards are processed and 400 hectares of vines from all important areas of Chile are leased on a long-term basis. A total of 40 farms of different sizes are managed by Cono Sur. Cono Sur makes targeted use of Chile's climatic advantages and prefers natural solutions for fertilising the soil and combating pests and diseases. On the Santa Elisa farm, for example, geese are used to control a pest. In addition, pomace produced during pressing is later used as fertiliser again.
The wine style at Cono Sur is "New World". This is reflected in the intense fruitiness, soft tannins and distinct structure. A great strength of Cono Sur is the consistent and consistently high quality of all wines in the range. Cono Sur has launched a number of groundbreaking initiatives to improve energy efficiency and reduce or compensate for CO² emissions.
High wine quality in the Reserva line
In addition to this claim, the symbol of the bicycle on the labels symbolizes Cono Sur's commitment to the natural cycles in the vineyards and is a homage to the workers in the vineyards.
