More information about Cornalin Domaine St. Théodule - Gerald Besse

The powerful Cornalin Domaine St. Théodule from the pen of Gerald Besse flows into the glass with a dense ruby red. presents in the glass wonderfully complex notes of blackberry, sour cherry, plum and currant. In addition, hints of black currant, forest floor and red currant.

The Gerald Besse Cornalin Domaine St. Théodule presents itself to the wine drinker wonderfully dry. This red wine never shows itself coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an incredibly dense, velvety and fleshy texture. Finally, the finish of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Valais convinces with a beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by clay and sand.

Vinification of the Gerald Besse Cornalin Domaine St. Théodule

This powerful red wine from Switzerland is made from the grape variety Cornalin. In Valais, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of clay and sand. After harvesting, the grapes are quickly transferred to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and concrete at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally bottled.

Supper recommendation for the Cornalin Domaine St. Théodule by Gerald Besse

This red wine from Switzerland should be enjoyed best tempered at 15 - 18°C. He fits perfectly as a companion to duck breast with sugar snap peas, vegetable couscous with beef meatballs or ossobuco.
