More information
With the La Source Cornalin comes a first-class red wine in the glass. He offers a wonderfully bright, ruby color. In the glass, this red wine from La Source shows aromas of raspberries and strawberries, complemented by other fruity nuances. This Italian wine stands out for its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Italian naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this balanced red wine is characterized by an incredibly crisp texture. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Aosta Valley finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of raspberry and strawberry appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the sand-dominated soils are added.
Vinification of Cornalin from La Source
The basis for the balanced Cornalin from Italy are grapes from the grape variety Cornalin. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Aosta Valley. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand. At the time of optimal ripeness, the grapes for Cornalin are harvested exclusively by hand without the help of coarse and hardly selective grape harvesters. After the harvest, the grapes are immediately sent to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the completion of fermentation, the Cornalin can harmonize further for 8 months on the fine lees.
Recommendation for La Source Cornalin
This Italian is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompanying wine to roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce, ossobuco or duck breast with sugar snap peas.
