More information
The barrel-aged Corral de los Altos from the wine-growing region of Aragon reveals itself in the glass in dense purple. The first nose of Corral de los Altos shows notes of blackcurrant, mulberry and blackberry. The fruity hints of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel aging such as even more fruity-balsamic nuances.
This wine delights with its elegantly dry taste. It was bottled with only 2.2 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine in the high quality wine range, this Spaniard enchants with the finest balance despite all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need sugar. On the palate, the texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully velvety. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Corral de los Altos is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this youthful red wine from the wine-growing region of Aragon, more precisely from Navarra DO, finally convinces with a beautiful reverberation.
Vinification of the Viña Zorzal Corral de los Altos
The basis for the powerful Corral de los Altos from Aragon are grapes from the grape variety Garnacha. The berries for this red wine from Spain are harvested, at the time of optimal maturity, exclusively by hand. After harvesting, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and small wood at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by a maturation of 9 months in French oak barrels.
