Costasera Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOC 2013 - Masi Agricola

This Costasera Amarone della Volpolicella Classico DOC from Masi Agricola has a very dark, ruby-red colour in the glass. It has an impressive fruity bouquet with notes of cherry and plum jam, as well as fine spices. Its unique flavours of concentrated fruit with hints of coffee and cocoa thrill the palate, and it is rounded off by a well-balanced structure. Smooth, mild tannins and hint of sweetness accompany its long, intensive finish.
This wine is an ideal partner for partridge, red meats, wild game and ripe cheeses such as Parmesan, Pecorino and Gorgonzola. It is also an excellent after-dinner wine on its own.

The Amarone is a unique wine in respect to its flavour, the ancient grapes used for its production, as well as regarding the production process used to create this speciality.
