More information about Cru Le Clos Crozes-Hermitage AOC - Delas Frères

The barrel-aged Cru Le Clos Crozes-Hermitage from the Rhône Valley wine-growing region shows a bright purple color in the glass. When swirling the glass, one can perceive a perfect balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out watery or syrupy or liqueur-like on the walls of the glass. This single varietal French wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of dried plums, black cherries, fruit loaves and morello cherries. These are joined by hints of other fruits.

On the palate, the Cru Le Clos Crozes-Hermitage of Delas Frères starts pleasantly dry, grippy and aromatic. Balanced and complex, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. In the finish, this storable red wine from the wine-growing region Rhône Valley finally inspires with considerable length. Again, hints of morello cherry and black cherry show. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the granite-dominated soils are added.

Vinification of the Cru Le Clos Crozes-Hermitage of Delas Frères

This balanced red wine from France is made from the Syrah grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Rhône Valley. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of granite. Cru Le Clos Crozes-Hermitage is an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, as this Frenchman exudes an extraordinary European charm that clearly underscores the success of Old World wines. After the harvest, the grapes arrive at the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for 14 months in French oak barriques.

Food recommendation for the Cru Le Clos Crozes-Hermitage from Delas Frères

This French wine is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to stuffed peppers, braised chicken in red wine or osso buco.
