More information
With the Schloss Proschwitz Cuvée Friedericke comes a first-class red wine in the glass. In this it shows a wonderfully brilliant, bright red color. At the edge also shows a color transition into garnet red. In the glass, this red wine from Schloss Proschwitz presents aromas of blackcurrants, blueberries, mulberries and blackberries, complemented by cinnamon, dark chocolate and cigar box. This German wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with exceptionally little residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine naturally enchants with the finest balance despite all dryness. Taste does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the palate, the texture of this light-bodied red wine is wonderfully velvety. In the finish, this wine from the wine-growing region of Saxony, which can be stored well, finally inspires with beautiful length. Hints of blackberry and blueberry show again.
Vinification of the Schloss Proschwitz Cuvée Friedericke
The elegant Cuvée Friedericke from Germany is a cuvée, pressed from the grape varieties Dornfelder and Pinot Noir. When perfect physiological ripeness is assured, the grapes for Cuvée Friedericke are harvested exclusively by hand without the aid of coarse and less selective grape harvesters. After the hand harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel at controlled temperatures.
Food recommendation for the Schloss Proschwitz Cuvée Friedericke
This red wine from Germany is best enjoyed at a temperature of 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce, ossobuco or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes.
