More information
The Weingut Stern Cuvée JosefBarrique is a first-class red wine in a glass. It presents a wonderfully dense, purple-red color. The first nose of the Cuvée JosefBarrique presents nuances of plums and sour cherries. The fruity parts of the bouquet are joined by notes of barrel ageing such as redcurrant and forest floor.
On the palate, the Cuvée Josef***Barrique from Weingut Stern opens wonderfully dry, full-bodied and aromatic. This dense red wine is full-bodied and multi-layered on the palate. On the finish, this wine from the Palatinate wine-growing region, which can be stored well, finally delights with its beautiful length. Once again, there are hints of sour cherry and plum. Mineral notes from the limestone and loess soil dominate the finish.
Vinification of the Weingut Stern Cuvée Josef***Barrique
The powerful Cuvée Josef***Barrique from Germany is a cuvée made from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape varieties. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on clay, limestone and loess soils in the Palatinate. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. This is followed by fermentation in small oak barrels at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
Dining recommendation for the Cuvée Josef***Barrique from Weingut Stern
