More information
The elegant Cuvée M Réserve from Weingut Manz flows into the glass with a bright purple color. At the edges, this German red also shows a transition into garnet red. If you give it some air by swirling, you can perceive a first-rate balance in this red wine, as it does not stand out on the glass walls as watery or syrupy or liqueur-like. This German cuvée flatters the glass with wonderfully complex notes of blackberries, plums, black currants and blueberries. It is joined by hints of forest floor and sun-warmed rock.
The Manz Cuvée M Réserve presents itself wonderfully dry to the wine drinker. This red wine is never coarse or meager, but round and smooth. Balanced and multifaceted, this fleshy red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Cuvée M Réserve is exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate. The finale of this red wine from the wine-growing region of Rheinhessen finally thrills with exceptional reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral hints of the soils dominated by limestone and marl.
Vinification of the Cuvée M Réserve from Manz Winery
The basis for the balanced Cuvée M Réserve from Rheinhessen are grapes from the grape varieties Cabernet Mitos and Cabernet Sauvignon. In Rheinhessen, the vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on soils of limestone and marl. The ripeness of the grapes for this wine made from Cabernet Mitos and Cabernet Sauvignon is influenced to a very high degree by the climate of the growing region. In Rheinhessen, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and even grapes and a rather moderate must weight. After harvesting, the grapes are taken to the press house as quickly as possible. Here they are selected and carefully milled. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. At the end of fermentation, the Cuvée M Réserve is aged for several months in oak barrels.
