Vinification of the winery Krug Die rote Versuchung
The basis for the powerful Die rote Versuchung from Lower Austria are grapes from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zweigelt. Clearly, the Die rote Versuchung is also determined by climate and viticultural style Thermenregion. This Austrian can literally be described as an Old World wine that presents itself in an exceptionally impressive manner. The maturation of the grapes for this wine of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Zweigelt is influenced to a considerable extent by the climate of the growing region. In Lower Austria, the grapes thrive in a rather cool climate, which is reflected, among other things, in particularly long and even grapes and a rather moderate must weight. After manual harvesting, the grapes are quickly taken to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in large wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the Die rote Versuchung is aged for several months in French oak barrels.
