More information

The DMZ Sauvignon Blanc by DeMorgenzon from the Coastal Region presents a dense, light yellow color in the swirled glass. This DeMorgenzon white wine presents the nose with all kinds of lemons and mangoes. As if that wasn't already impressive, other aromas such as minerals and boxwood are added.

On the palate, the DMZ Sauvignon Blanc from DeMorgenzon opens wonderfully aromatic, fruity and balanced. The texture of this powerful white wine is wonderfully light on the palate. Thanks to the balanced fruit acidity, the DMZ Sauvignon Blanc flatters the palate with a velvety feel without lacking freshness. The finish of this white wine from the Coastal Region wine-growing region, more precisely from Stellenbosch, impresses with a beautiful aftertaste. The finish is also accompanied by mineral notes from the granite-dominated soils.

Vinification of the DeMorgenzon DMZ Sauvignon Blanc

This powerful white wine from South Africa is made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape variety. The vines that produce the grapes for this wine grow on granite soils in the Coastal region. Due to the moderating influence of the nearby sea, the grapes ripen more slowly and develop more aromatic depth. After harvesting, the grapes are transported to the winery as quickly as possible. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.

Wine pairing recommendation for DeMorgenzon DMZ Sauvignon Blanc

This South African white wine is best enjoyed moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C. It is the perfect accompaniment to omelette with salmon and fennel, vegetable salad with beetroot or roasted trout with ginger pear.
