Domaine Jean Collet et Fils

Finest Chablis since 1952: Domaine Collet et Fils Winery

Since 1792, the Collet family has been cultivating wine around Chablis. The Domaine Collet winery was founded in 1952 by Jean Collet. After Collet had sold the yields of the first few years to regional wine producers, he first bottled his own wine 2 years after the establishment of the winery. It is remarkable that Collet was already able to export its first wines to the USA in 1959. From 1979 onwards, Jean Collet was supported by his son Gilles in the vineyards, which at that time covered 9 hectares - since then the estate has been called Domaine Collet et Fils. With Romain Collet, the winery is now in its fourth generation. After his studies in Beaune and various internships and work experience in France and New Zealand, Romain returned to his parents' company in 2009. Chardonnay is still cultivated on soils strewn with marine fossils that lie on massive chalk cliffs.
