The family of Domaine Laffitte has farmed this land from generation to generation since time immemorial - as far as written records go. The domaine is currently experiencing a boom under the new, young management. With a passion for vines and wine, they have gradually rebuilt the vineyards, which are now able to express all the richness and complexity of the terroir. Your wines and Armagnacs are the reflection of your soul: straightforward, authentic and generous.

Domaine Laffitte - the signature of its wines

Their vines are planted on the highest hills of Ayzieu on the border with Gascony, this area is also called the "Little Tuscany". It is famous for its hilly and varied landscapes. The terroir is very typical of Armagnac, consisting essentially of yellow-brown sands on the surface and strong earths in the subsoil. These two very specific elements give minerality, freshness and power to the wines of Domaine Laffitte. The climate benefits from the influence of the Atlantic and the Pyrenees. The rainy and mild winters quickly give way to hot and dry summers, followed by a beautiful late season. This very special climate gives its vineyards exceptional ripening potential, ensuring the production of red wines with very ripe fruit.

An adapted technical route for each parcel. The white wines are made from Colombard, Gros and Petit Manseng as well as Sauvignon Blanc, Gris and Chardonnay. For their rosés and red wines, they grow Cabernet Franc and Tannat. With conviction, they cultivate vines at Laffitte in a traditional way with respect for their environment, which is very close to their hearts. They sow green manure every year to limit erosion in winter and increase soil fertility. All their work has a single goal - to produce the best grapes.
