Domaine Sylvain Morey

One family, different wines

Sylvain Morey is a winemaker from Chassagne-Montrachet. He inherited his vineyards by his father, who still owns some himself and gave one third each to his daughter Caroline and his son Sylvain. He worked in Luberon before returning home. He cultivates his wines under his own name and gives them his very own stamp.

He prefers a longer barrel ageing process to the use of new wood, his wines are fresh and elegant, the alcohol content is rather moderate. In contrast to his father, he plans to keep the domain rather small, so that his portfolio is not as extensive as that by Jean-Marc Morey.
