The powerful Caliza Tinto Dominio de Valdepusa Marques de Grinon glides into the glass with a dense purple color. With a bit of side lay, the burgundy goblet reveals a charming garnet red hue at the rims. Poured into a Burgundy goblet, this Old World red wine offers delightfully fragrant and complex aromas of plum, blueberry, blackberry and plum, rounded out by vanilla, juniper and Mediterranean herbs contributed by barrel aging.
This Spanish wine delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 1.9 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this Spaniard enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily need a lot of sugar. On the tongue, this powerful red wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy and silky texture. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Caliza Tinto Dominio de Valdepusa is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. The final of this mature red wine from the wine-growing region Vinos de Pago, more precisely from Dominio de Valdepusa, finally convinces with extraordinary reverberation. Vinification of the Marques de Grinon Caliza Tinto Dominio de Valdepusa
The basis for the powerful Caliza Tinto Dominio de Valdepusa from Vinos de Pago are grapes from the grape varieties Graciano, Petit Verdot and Syrah. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Vinos de Pago. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay and limestone. After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Then fermentation takes place in small wood at controlled temperatures. After its end, the powerful Caliza Tinto Dominio de Valdepusa is aged for another 10 months in French oak barrels. Once the wine is finished, the Caliza Tinto Dominio de Valdepusa is carefully harmonized.
