More information
The Emeritus Dominio de Valdepusa from Marques de Grinon is an expressive, complex red wine cuvée from the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon (83%), Petit Verdot (11%) and Syrah (6%).
In the glass, this Spanish wine shines in a dark ruby red with light violet reflections. The intense and complex bouquet reveals layered aromas of dark red and black wild berries complemented by mint, fine cedar, wild roses, cloves, lavender and bell bell pepper. On the palate, this cuvée reveals itself as a spectacular and exceptional wine of tremendous length.
Vinification of the Marques de Grinon Emeritus
The grapes grow in the Spanish D.O. Dominio de Valdepusa on 5 year old vines. The soils are rich in limestone and clay.
The harvest periodrum begins in mid-September and continues until mid-October. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand and strictly selected. The grapes are gently pressed in the winery of Marques de Grinon. The resulting must is then fermented in stainless steel tanks under temperature control. This Spanish red wine is aged for a total of 24 months in French oak barrels.
