Donnas - Cave De Donnas

The barrel-aged Donnas from the wine-growing region of Valle d'Aosta reveals itself in the glass in dense ruby red. To the nose, this Cave De Donnas red wine shows all sorts of sour cherries and blackberries. As if that were not already impressive, join by the expansion in large wooden barrels still red currant.

On the palate opens the Donnas of Cave De Donnas wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. On the tongue, this punchy red wine is characterized by an incredibly fleshy, dense and velvety texture. In the finish, this red wine from the wine-growing region of Valle d'Aosta finally thrills with beautiful length. Again, hints of sour cherry and blackberry show.

Vinification of the Donnas of Cave De Donnas

This powerful red wine from Italy is vinified from the grape varieties Fumin and Nebbiolo. After harvesting, the grapes immediately reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Donnas can harmonize further for 20 months on the fine lees.

Serving recommendation for the Donnas of Cave De Donnas

This Italian red wine is best enjoyed tempered at 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to osso buco, roasted calf's liver with apples, onions and balsamic vinegar sauce or veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes
