As enchanting as the prestigious wines of the Duchessa Lia winery is the story.

The story goes that "Lia" was a young girl who lived in a small village in Monferrato in the mid-19th century. She was so full of natural elegance, sincerity and beauty that everyone called her "Duchessa", despite her peasant origins.

The Duchessa Lia winery combines history and wine culture. The wines come from the world-famous wine-growing areas Astigiano, Monferrato and Langhe, all of them declared world cultural heritage by Unesco. This is how the Nobili Vini del Piemonte are created with Duchessa Lia's signature.  

Tradition and modernity

The Capetta family is already the third generation to successfully run the winery, placing special emphasis on the quality of each product with the utmost respect for the environment and the enhancement of the fantastic Piedmontese wine-growing heritage.
