The Durchbacher Plauelrain Riesling Alte Reben from the Baden winegrowing region reveals itself in the glass in brilliantly shimmering light yellow. After the first swirl, this white wine is characterized by a wonderful lightness that makes it dance lively in the glass. In the glass, this white wine from Andreas Laible displays aromas of pears, acacia, apricots, nashi pear and honeysuckle, complemented by Mediterranean herbs, lovage and sun-warmed rocks. The Andreas Laible Durchbacher Plauelrain Riesling Alte Reben delights with its elegantly dry flavor. It was bottled with only 5.5 grams of residual sugar. This is a real quality wine, which clearly stands out from simpler qualities and so this German wine enchants naturally with all dryness with the finest balance. Aroma does not necessarily require sugar. Light-footed and complex, this melting white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its present fruit acidity, the Durchbacher Plauelrain Riesling Alte Reben presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this white wine from the wine-growing region of Baden finally inspires with considerable length. Hints of apricot and honeysuckle appear again.
Vinification of the Durchbacher Plauelrain Riesling Old Vines by Andreas Laible
This white wine clearly focuses on one grape variety, and that is Riesling. Only immaculate grape material was harvested for this exceptionally elegant single-varietal wine from Andreas Laible. Of course, the Durchbacher Plauelrain Riesling Alte Reben is also determined by the climate and viticultural style of Durbach. This German wine can be described as an Old World wine in the best sense of the word, presenting itself as exceptionally fragrant. After harvesting, the grapes quickly reach the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After completion of fermentation, the Durchbacher Plauelrain Riesling Alte Reben can continue to harmonize on the fine lees for several months....
