More information about East India Solera Sherry 0,5 l - Emilio Lustau

The powerful East India Solera Sherry from the house of Emilio Lustau shines with dense golden yellow in the glass. After the first swirl, this sherry reveals a high density and richness, which is evident in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. This Spanish cuvée presents wonderfully distinguished and complex notes of fruit breads, limes, lemongrass and grapefruit in the glass. These are joined by hints of brittle, cinnamon and walnut.

The East India Solera Sherry can justifiably be described as exceptionally fruit-driven and velvety, having been vinified with a wonderfully mellow flavor profile. This creamy and dense sherry presents itself pressure-full and complex at the palate. Due to its present fruit acidity, the East India Solera Sherry is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this sherry from the wine-growing region of Andalusia finally inspires with exceptional length. Once again, hints of prunes and lime appear. In the aftertaste, mineral notes of the soils dominated by limestone and sand are added.

Vinification of the East India Solera Sherry by Emilio Lustau

The basis for the powerful East India Solera Sherry from Andalusia are grapes from the Palomino Fino and Pedro Ximénez varieties. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in Andalusia. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand, limestone and clay. Clearly, the East India Solera Sherry is also determined by more than just the soil Jerez DO. This Spaniard can literally be described as an Old World wine that is exceptionally distinguished and complex. The grapes for this sherry from Spain, after ensuring optimal ripeness, are harvested exclusively by hand.

Food recommendation for the East India Solera Sherry from Emilio Lustau

Enjoy this sherry from Spain ideally moderately chilled at 11 - 13°C as a companion to peach-passion fruit dessert, lemon chili chicken with bulgur or spicy curry with lamb.
