More information

The elegant Edition Johannes Pinot Noir Kaiserstuhl from the house Abril shines with bright light red in the glass. The nose shows this Abril red wine all sorts of red currant and plum. As if that weren't already impressive, smoky notes join in due to the aging in stainless steel.

The Abril Edition Johannes Pinot Noir Kaiserstuhl presents itself to the connoisseur wonderfully dry. This red wine is never coarse or meager, as one might expect from a wine in the upper price range. On the palate, the texture of this balanced red wine is wonderfully silky. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Edition Johannes Pinot Noir Kaiserstuhl flatters with a velvety feel on the palate without lacking juicy liveliness. On the finish, this youthful wine from the Baden winegrowing region finally delights with beautiful length. Once again, hints of plum and red currant show through.

Vinification of the Abril Edition Johannes Pinot Noir Kaiserstuhl

This balanced red wine from Germany is organically vinified from the Pinot Noir grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes arrive quickly at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. After the end of fermentation, the Edition Johannes Pinot Noir Kaiserstuhl can further harmonize on the fine lees for several months.

Food recommendation for the Edition Johannes Pinot Noir Kaiserstuhl from Abril

Drink this organic red wine from Germany ideally tempered at 15 - 18°C as a companion to veal boiled beef with beans and tomatoes, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs or boeuf bourguignon.
