The Edition Wirtemberg Lemberger from Collegium Wirtemberg in Württemberg shows a bright, ruby red color in the tilted glass. Held at a slight angle, the wine glass reveals a charming garnet-red hue at the rims. The aroma of this red wine from Württemberg is determined by nuances of all sorts of red and black berries and dark fruits such as heart cherries and plums. On the palate, the Edition Wirtemberg Lemberger from Collegium Wirtemberg starts wonderfully dry, grippy and aromatic. Balanced and multifaceted, this dense red wine presents itself on the palate. Due to the balanced fruit acidity, the Edition Wirtemberg Lemberger flatters the palate with a pleasing feel, without lacking juicy liveliness. The finale of this mature red wine from the wine-growing region of Württemberg finally thrills with good reverberation.
Vinification of the Edition Wirtemberg Lemberger from Collegium Wirtemberg
The basis for the balanced Edition Wirtemberg Lemberger from Württemberg are grapes from the Lemberger grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully crushed. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks and large wood at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles. Once the wine is finished, Edition Wirtemberg Lemberger is carefully harmonized.
