This single-varietal Austrian wine flatters the glass with wonderfully expressive notes of mirabelle plum, peach, lemon and pear. It is joined by hints of herbal spice and minerals.

This wine tastes pleasantly dry. It was bottled with only 1.1 grams of residual sugar. As you would expect from a wine, this Austrian naturally enraptures with the finest balance for all its dryness. Excellent taste does not necessarily need residual sugar. Due to its vital fruit acidity, Editionz Elementar Grüner Veltliner Bio is fantastically fresh and lively on the palate. In the finish, this very storable wine from the wine-growing region Weinviertel finally inspires with beautiful length. There are again hints of acacia. In the reverberation, mineral notes of the soils dominated by sand and limestone still join.

Vinification of Editionz Elementar Grüner Veltliner Bio by Weingut Herbert Zillinger

The basis for the elegant Editionz Elementar Grüner Veltliner Bio from Weinviertel are grapes from the grape variety Grüner Veltliner. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Weinviertel. Here, the vines dig their roots deep into soils of sand and limestone. After harvesting, the grapes reach the press house by the fastest route. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
