The Eichkogel Zweigelt Reserve from the wine-growing region of Lower Austria offers itself in the glass in dense light red. The nose shows this winery Krug red wine all sorts of morello cherries, black cherries, plums and prunes. As if that wasn't impressive enough, the stainless steel aging adds oriental spices, cocoa bean and black tea.

Vinification of the Eichkogel Zweigelt Reserve by Weingut Krug
This powerful red wine from Austria is made from the Zweigelt grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes reach the winery by the fastest route. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Vinification is followed by aging on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
