The powerful El Recio of Bodegas Matsu shines with dense ruby red in the glass. If you give it some air by swirling, this red wine reveals a high density and fullness, which shows in strong church windows at the edge of the glass. The bouquet of this red wine from Castile - León enchants with nuances of blueberry, blackberry, black currant and mulberry. If we trace the aromatics further, juniper, lovage and green peppers are added.

The powerful El Recio from Spain is a single-varietal wine, pressed from the Tempranillo grape variety. The grapes grow in optimal conditions in Castile - Leon. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand and limestone. Clearly, El Recio is also determined by climatic and stylistic factors of Toro DO. This Spaniard can literally be described as an Old World wine that is extraordinarily impressive. After the grapes are harvested, they quickly arrive at the winery. Here they are sorted and carefully crushed.

This red wine from Spain is best enjoyed at a temperate 15 - 18°C. It is perfect as an accompaniment to vegetable couscous with beef meatballs, lamb stew with chickpeas and dried figs, or stuffed peppers.
