More information

In the glass, the Élisabeth Vigneronne Blanc Côtes de Gascogne from Jegerlehner & Prataviera presents a brilliant shimmering platinum yellow color. To the nose, this Jegerlehner & Prataviera white wine shows all sorts of oranges, grapefruit, lemongrass, quince and nashi pear.

This dry white wine from Jegerlehner & Prataviera is something for wine lovers who prefer to drink bone dry. The Élisabeth Vigneronne Blanc Côtes de Gascogne already comes quite close to this, it was pressed with just 1.9 grams of residual sugar. Light-footed and complex, this light white wine presents itself on the palate. Due to its vital fruit acidity, the Élisabeth Vigneronne Blanc Côtes de Gascogne presents itself wonderfully fresh and lively on the palate. On the finish, this youthful from the wine-growing region of Gascony finally delights with beautiful length. Hints of kumquat and lemon appear again.

Vinification of the Élisabeth Vigneronne Blanc Côtes de Gascogne by Jegerlehner & Prataviera

The basis for the elegant Élisabeth Vigneronne Blanc Côtes de Gascogne from Gascony are grapes from the Colombard, Gros Manseng and Sauvignon Blanc varieties. After the grape harvest, the grapes are immediately taken to the press house. Here they are sorted and carefully broken up. Fermentation follows in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. Fermentation is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn off.

Food pairing for the Élisabeth Vigneronne Blanc Côtes de Gascogne from Jegerlehner & Prataviera

Drink this white wine from France ideally well chilled at 8 - 10°C as an accompaniment to coconut-lime fish curry, fruity endive salad or asparagus salad with quinoa.
