In the glass, this red wine from Femar Vini presents aromas of mulberries, raisins, prunes, blueberries and dried fruit, complemented by other fruity nuances. The Femar Vini Epicuro Primitivo di Manduria presents itself to the wine drinker as pleasantly dry. This red wine is never coarse or austere, as you would expect from a wine in the upper price range. The Epicuro Primitivo di Manduria can be described as exceptionally fruity and velvety, as it has been vinified with a wonderfully sweet taste profile. The texture of this powerful red wine is wonderfully melting on the palate. The Epicuro Primitivo di Manduria reveals itself to be exceptionally fresh and lively on the palate thanks to its concise fruit acidity. This youthful wine from the Apulia wine-growing region finally delights with its beautiful length on the finish. Once again, there are hints of pear and fruit bread.
Vinification of the Femar Vini Epicuro Primitivo di Manduria
The basis for the powerful Epicuro Primitivo di Manduria from Apulia are grapes from the Primitivo grape variety. After the grape harvest, the grapes are quickly transported to the winery. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. This is followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The fermentation is followed by maturation on the fine lees for several months before the wine is finally bottled.
