Vinification of the Erasmo Selection Barricas Alicante Bouschet by Erasmo Organic Winery

The basis for the powerful Erasmo Selection Barricas Alicante Bouschet from Chile are grapes from the grape varieties Alicante Bouschet and Syrah. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Valle Central. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of sand. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully broken up. Fermentation then takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures. The vinification is followed by aging for several months on the fine lees before the wine is finally drawn into bottles.
