If given some air by swirling, this white wine is characterized by an immense brilliance that makes it dance nimbly in the glass. This white wine from Schloss Reinhartshausen is ideal for all wine lovers who like as little sweetness in their wine as possible. At the same time, however, it never shows itself to be meager or brittle, as one would naturally expect from a wine in the top wine segment. The finish of this white wine with good aging potential from the wine-growing region of Rheingau, more precisely from Erbach, finally convinces with a beautiful reverberation. The finish is also accompanied by mineral facets of the soils dominated by sandstone and loess.
Vinification of the Schloss Reinhartshausen Erbacher Siegelsberg Riesling
The elegant Erbacher Siegelsberg Riesling from Germany is a single varietal wine, made from the Riesling grape variety. The grapes grow under optimal conditions in the Rheingau. The vines here dig their roots deep into soils of clay, slate, loess, sandstone, gravel and marl. The grapes for this white wine from Germany, when perfectly ripe, are harvested exclusively by hand. After the hand harvest, the grapes are quickly taken to the press house. Here they are selected and carefully ground. Fermentation then takes place at controlled temperatures.
